National Police Week Special Event – K3FBI

National Police Week Special Event – K3FBI – 0000z May 15 through 2359z May 21

National Police Week offers honor, remembrance, and peer support, while allowing law enforcement, survivors, and citizens to gather and pay homage to those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, DC to participate in a number of planned events which honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.  National Police Week 2022 in United States will begin on Sunday, May 15 and ends on Saturday, May 21

K3FBI – The FBI AMATEUR RADIO ASSOC (FBIARA) was formed Circa. 1991 from a group of amateur radio operators who were FBI employees and would get together on the air. This became known as the “BuNet”.  K3FBI became the club call in the fall of 1998, just in time to be an official part of the FBI’s 90th anniversary.

ANNUAL ARMED FORCES DAY CROSSBAND TEST

The Department of Defense will host this year’s Armed Forces Day (AFD) Cross-Band Test, scheduled for May 14th 2022. This annual event is open to all licensed amateur radio operators, and will not impact any public or private communications. For more than 50 years, military and amateur stations have taken part in this event, which is only an exercise scenario, designed to include hobbyist and government radio operators alike.

The AFD Cross-Band Test is a unique opportunity to test two-way communications between military communicators and radio stations in the Amateur Radio Service (ARS), as authorized in 47 CFR 97.111. These tests provide opportunities and challenges for radio operators to demonstrate individual technical skills in a tightly-controlled exercise scenario that does not impact any public or private communications.

Military stations will transmit on selected military frequencies and will announce the specific ARS frequencies monitored. All times are ZULU (Z), and all frequencies are Upper Side Band (USB) unless otherwise noted. The frequencies used for the test will not impact any public or private communications, and will not stray outside the confines of the exercise.

The following stations will be making two way radiotelephone contacts with stations in the ARS between the time periods listed on the frequencies listed in Kilohertz below.

Steel City ARC & LOTW

Hello Members
Steel City ARC has now join in with “Log Book Of The World” and have upload 14,547 contact into the log book.  So you can find W3KWH contact now in LOTW, eQSL, QRZ locations.   The first contact you will find in the log book dates back to 1973 to the most recent Carnegie Library special event station just last month.  I am going to create a directory called “ADI log Files” on the “Z” drive that if you work any contest you can save the “adi” file there and it would be uploaded.
