Hindenburg Radio Room
The radio room of the zeppelin Hindenburg was located in the hull of the ship, just above the control car, and contained both long wave and short wave radios of 200 watts.
The Hindenburg’s radio call sign was “DEKKA”.

Open to all Radio Amateurs within Ground Wave distance of Pittsburgh, PA. Any ten-meter ground wave contact in the area is valid. Ground wave for the purposes of this contest shall be defined as: Any contact between the following states PA, NY, WV, OH, MD, DE, NJ only. Scoring is base on number of points base on a grid map that is in the PDF.

Straight Key Night is held every January 1 from 0000 UTC through 2359 UTC.
The J–38 CW key has a vast and wonderful history behind it. The J–38 key was used by all branches of the U.S. military. The J–38 key was produced by numerous manufacturers in very large numbers during the 1940’s and later.
SPACE WEATHER
Band conditions have been good with solar flux index over 100. In the early morning 6am or so 10 meters open into South Africa and 15 meters into Asia and the EU and 40 into South Pacific.
EDDIE STUBBS RETIRES FROM WSM RADIO
I will always remember leaving the club on Wednesday nights jumping in the car and reaching for the radio knob and tuning in 650 AM and listening to Stubbs talking about the songs and history of the songs. The man knew his Country Singers and history.
