Hams Over IP

Once Hamshack Hotline shut down SCARC decided to move over to “Hams Over IP” service for our Tuesday Night Chat Session.  Every Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM we gather of conference bridge 10426 to discuss our current ham radio activities. It is also a good place to ask questions on the club activities or any question you might have about ham radio.  All are welcome members and non-members alike.

Here are the steps to get an account and activate your VoIP phone:

  1. Get an Official Copy of your FCC license
    1. Can be a photo of your license or
    2. Download copy from FCC ULS system
    3. Must have the work “OFFICIAL” on it
  2. Register with RadioID.net to get your DMR ID number
  3. Goto Hams Over IP ticketing system and create an account on HOIP

  4. Answer the email to confirm your account and then sign into the ticketing system
    1. Click on “OPEN A NEW TICKET“
    2. Select from pull down “NEW EXTENSION REQUEST – AMERICAS”
    3. Fill in your DMR ID and upload copy of license
  5. Wait for email from HOIP with your new extension
  6. Go to WiKi to learn how to program your phone

    3. Find your model phone
  7. Do a quick test call to 3192 the time server to see if its working
  8. If unable to program your phone then contact Tech Team for help
