Get ready for some really cold weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. Remember if you have to go out dress in layers and protect all your skin surfaces. Here are the dangers of Wind Chill:
- Frostbite: Windchill actually causes your body tissue to freeze! Frostbite in body tissue that has frozen and usually starts with the fingers, toes, tips of the nose, and ear lobes. If you lose feeling in these areas or they are turning pale or white, immediately get inside and get medical attention.
- Hypothermia: Hypothermia sets in when your body’s temperature drops too low. Uncontrollable shivering, disorientation, and incoherence are signs of this issue, and medical attention should be sought immediately
